The vertical and horizontal sizes are misaligned when plotting.

  • Check the [DIST.COMP] for distance compensation. First, confirm whether there is a distance correction value entered.

[Simple distance compensation method]
Before performing [DIST.COMP], please prepare the followings.
- The sheet that has experienced cutting misalignment.
- Steel ruler (1000 mm or more)
- The cutter blade used when cutting misalignment occurred.

1. In Illustrator, create a rectangle with dimensions of width (W) 10mm and height (H) 1000mm.

2. Output this data from FineCut.

3. Measure the actual length of the outputted rectangle's feed.

4. Calculate the correction value from the following formula.
Correction value = Measured value (mm) - 1000mm

5. Remove the sheet from the plotter.

6. Follow the distance compensation procedure and set A=1000 and B=200, then input the correction value obtained earlier.
* If the correction value is shorter than 1000mm, input a minus sign (-); if it’s longer, input a plus sign (+).
Example) If the measured feed length is 997mm (shorter than 1000mm), enter AR=-3.0 and AL=-3.0 as hypothetical values.

7. Output the rectangle data created in the step1 from FineCut.

8. Measure the feed length of the outputted rectangle and verify if it is 1000mm.

9. If the length does not match, repeat the process from step 4.
* If you need to re-enter the correction values, set AR = 0.0, AL = 0.0, and B = 0.0 once, reset the [DIST.COMP.] scale, and then proceed.

[How to operate [DIST.COMP.]]

1. If a sheet is installed, remove the sheet from the plotter.

2. In local mode, press the [TOOL] key.

3. Press the jog key (left) twice.

4. When [DIST.COMP.] is displayed, press ENTER.

5. Use the jog key (up/down) to set the value for direction A to "1000", then press the [ENTER] key.

6. Use the Jog key (up/down) to set the B direction value to "200", then press ENTER.

7. Set the [DRWAW SHIFT] to “0” and press ENTER.

8. Set the correction value obtained earlier in [AR], then press ENTER.

9. Set the same correction value as [AR] in [AL], then press ENTER.

10. Leave [B] as it is, and press ENTER. The screen returns to the LOCAL mode automatically.
You have now completed the process.
