Nishimatsu-tent Co., Ltd. was established in 1980. It has grown from manufacturing tents to cutting sheet stickers and inkjet printing services. Currently, it provides a lot of services for entertainment industry.

Nishimatsu-tent’s Mimaki Products Timeline

We have 40 years of experience, starting out with my father’s generation. We have been working with Mimaki since we installed their inkjet printer JV2-MS in 2001.

JV2 works great for outputting onto tarpaulins. Therefore, it was a perfect match for our services. We installed another unit to have two machines of this model working in tandem. Later, we replaced them with two 2600 mm wide format JV3-250 units to have them working side by side. We have also used another 2600 mm wide format printer, JV34-260.

One of the greatest features we offer is our facility, where we can contain the whole process of cutting, outputting, and sewing in-house, enabling us to manufacture a wide range of products from common flags to super wide media like oversized banners for condominiums.

Incorporating JV330-160

We incorporated JV330-160 last year (2022) as one of our primary output equipment partly because our OKI M-64S was coming close to its service life, and orders were gradually increasing after the COVID-19 pandemic.

JV330-160 excels in its speed and works superbly outputting into medium-width media.

JV330-160 supports high-speed print jobs, printing 45 m² in four passes. It displays high productivity equivalent to M-64S class printers.

Equipped with the "Media Changer," being able to load up to three rolls of media at the same time saves you the trouble of replacing the media. It also contributes to optimizing the workspace and minimizing your effort.

And for large-volume orders, we use super wide format printer EFI Pro 32r.

Launch of fabrics (interior) business

We recently launched a printing-on-fabric (decor) service. What tipped us over to this path in the first place was when I saw a wide-format printer used for fabric at FESPA 2018 held in Germany back in 2018.

As digital printing of wallpapers is still quite rare in Japan, there seem to be very few output companies that customers can refer to with confidence, creating a steady stream of incoming orders for us.

In the past, many of our primary products were for tents, signs, theater staging, and event decor, but we are hopeful that fabric printing will be added to our repertoire as one of our primary services.
