For CFX series users

When using this version with the CFX series, please use firmware version1.6 or later.
If the firmware is not supported version, FineCut software will not be usable.

About this Upgrade software

  • FineCut9 serial key or FineCut/Coat9 serial key is required after software updating.
  • Free upgrade to FineCut/Coat9 from FineCut8 is available if you have FineCut8 CD-ROM.

For FineCut/Coat9 Ver2.3 or less users

  • The register mark created with FineCut/Coat9 Ver2.4 or later cannot be recognized by FineCut/Coat9 Ver2.3 or less.
     If you want to recognize register mark created with FineCut/Coat9 Ver2.3 or less, create them with FineCut/Coat9 Ver2.3 or less.

- Improved function -

  1. CJV200 series is supported.
  2. The functions of the CFX series have been improved.
    • Teaching Detection Point Setting function.
      You can specify any teaching detection points.
      - Model: CFX Series, CFX Series(M-Head)
    • Check the cutting range function.
      You can check the cut area on the work automatically before cutting, and therefore you can check if the design to be cut is within the work to be used.
      - Model: CFX Series, CFX Series(M-Head)
    • Flute Direction function.
      You can set the amount of push (Z position/pressure value) in the paper width direction and flow direction for the pass in the color/layer which the ruling tool is specified and output it.
      - Model: CFX Series
    • Plot base point function.
      Only when executing the outputting without distance correction after the register mark detection, you can set the plot base point.
      In addition to the conventional register mark base point, you can select a cut at the center base point.

- Improved function -

  1. The functions of the CFX series have been improved.
    • Teaching Efficient operation of multi copy.
      For the multi mode, added a function to start cutting after teaching all multi copies.

    • Improvement of V Cut setting items.
      Added an explanatory diagram of V Cut setting items to the output condition settings.
      For the width to fold, automatic setting can be selected.

  2. When setting the conditions by color/layer, the contents of the output conditions can be checked on the plotter output screen.

- Improved function -

  1. CFX series is supported.
    • Free Register Marks function
      To improve the accuracy of the alignment of the cuts, register marks can be arranged at any location.
    • V-Cut Tool function
      By cutting the folds with the V-Cut tool, the thick media folds can be sharpened.
    • Edge Detection function
      Detects the edge of the work and corrects the cut position and tilt. When a register mark is detected and cut the object from the back surface, it can be cut without using the mark tip by using the edge detection together.
    • Teaching Register Marks function
      By using a camera equipped to CFX and specifying the register mark position by Teaching, you can accurately cut the outline of printed materials with other manufacturers' register mark.

    << CAUTION >>
    When using CFX and setting the output conditions by color or layer, be sure to check [Speed] before cutting.
    Execute cutting without checking [Speed], cut is made at a rate of 30 cm/s.

  2. Illustrator 2024 is now supported.

-Fixed bugs -

  1. Mimaki Driver can be installed when installing FineCut, but you cannot install it in the Windows 11 environment because of the older version.
  2. Some paths may be hidden in the weed line creation dialog.

  1. Illustrator 2023 is now supported.

-Fixed bugs-

  1. Fixed a bug that the cutting with tool which you specified may not be executed in CF3 series.

- Improved function -

  1. Mimaki Register marks SDK is supported.
    Register marks which created based on the Mimaki Register marks SDK with third party software can be recognized by FineCut.

[Ver2.2 -> Ver2.3]

- Improved function -

  1. CG-AR series is supported.
    With the division cutting function, cut misalignment due to sheet meandering can be suppressed.
  2. CJV330 series is supported.

[Ver2.1 -> Ver2.2]

- Improved function -

  1. Illustrator 2022 is now supported.
  2. Windows 11 is now supported.
    * Camera for Gravotech laser is not supported.

-Fixed bugs-

  1. When the cut data is created using the following functions, it is printed by RasterLink5.
    Frame Extraction / Outline Tool / Move to the Cut Layer / Register Mark Creation [Leave a rectangle as the cutting line].
  2. Even if [Leaf Mode] is specified in [Detect Mark] function of Plot dialog, it will return to [Roll Mode] when [Detect Mark] is executed at the next time.

  1. Illustrator exits incorrectly when executing Frame Extraction, Create Shadow / Edge, Trapping, Create Weed Line on Illustrator 2021 (Ver25.4.1).

  1. In CF22-1225, the issue that [Reverse Cut Mode] may not be performed correctly has been fixed.
  2. In Gravotech laser, the color in the [Cutting Direction] displayed correctly on the [Preview] dialog.
  3. A crash problem when FineCut9 is installed on the Korean version of Illustrator has been fixed.
  4. The new information of FineCut9 can be acquired through the online information from this version.

[Ver1.2 -> Ver1.3]

- Improved function -

  1. Illustrator 2020 is now supported.
  2. Camera for Gravotech laser is now supported.
    • The register marks are detected by the camera automatically to output.
    • The new function can be used only by the Gravotech laser model with camera.

-Fixed bugs-

  1. In some models, wrong value was displayed as a recommended register mark size in FineCut. The wrong value has been corrected.
  2. The output condition setting function by each color and layer for CF3 (M head) can be now used.

  1. "The program can’t start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer." error message is displayed when starting Illustrator.

[FineCut8 Ver8.7.6 -> FineCut9 Ver1.0]

- Improved function -

  1. The UI display was cut off.
  2. When operating weed line in the Weed Line dialog, a problem with slow operation occurred.
  3. The maximum number of favorites have been increased from 10 to 250, so that the problem, the favorite was not registered when there were more than 10 layer colors.
  4. Size in plot preview dialog was not be able to be changed smoothly with mouse.

New functions of FineCut/Coat9

New functions

  1. It can be now outputted directly to Trotec Speedy 100/300/360/400.
    It can be outputted by the procedure that outputs to Mimaki plotter.
    Register mark cut can be done by manually adjusting the RED pointer of the laser machine to the printed register mark.
  2. It can be now outputted directly to Gravotech LS series.
    (Gravotech driver installation is required.)

Article 3 Limitation of Warranty
  1. It is not warranted that functions contained in this software suit the intended use of the customer.
  2. This software should be selected and introduced in the customer’s responsibility: any damage in installing this software in the computer’s hard disk and the plotter’s memory is not covered.
  3. We accept no responsibility for any results of the use of this software (including lost earnings or profits).
Article 4 Term of Validity
  1. The term of validity of this agreement starts when the customer installs this software.
  2. When the customer decides to stop using this software, this agreement is automatically terminated.
  3. This agreement is terminated immediately, without our notice, if the customer does not follow any clause of this agreement. If this agreement terminates, the whole of this software must be deleted.
